President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, warmly welcomed the visiting Peruvian President, Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra, at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The grand state ceremony was made even more vibrant with the presence of approximately 3,000 students from various schools in the capital. President Boluarte arrived in a stately motorcade, accompanied by 17 motorcycle troops and 60 mounted guards, leading the procession from the National Monument to the palace gates.

Upon her arrival at the palace, President Boluarte was personally greeted by President Prabowo. They both stood on the ceremonial podium as the national anthems of Peru and Indonesia filled the air. Following the anthems, they inspected the honor guard and paid homage to their respective national flags. President Prabowo and President Boluarte then introduced members of their official delegations, highlighting key officials from both countries.

A bilateral meeting was held between the two leaders, focusing on enhancing the ties between Indonesia and Peru. Both countries share membership in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), a significant forum for multilateral and economic cooperation in the region. This meeting marked a reciprocal gesture, following President Prabowo’s official visit to Peru the previous year, showcasing the ongoing diplomatic exchange between the two nations.
