Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the vice presidential candidate number two from the Koalisi Indonesia Maju, emphasized the importance of supporting the creative economic industry. One way to do this is by providing easy financing facilities.
According to Gibran, the creative economic industry has experienced rapid growth during the Covid-19 pandemic and continues to develop. Therefore, it is crucial for the government to continue supporting it, especially in nurturing start-ups.
He cited an example in Solo where there is a special start-up program in local banks that helps with initial capital. This program aims to make it easier for young people to develop their businesses, particularly when they do not have assets that can be used as collateral.
In an interview titled “Info A1 This Time Gibran Talks Long, Ready for Debate?” on YouTube, Gibran stated, “If there is Bank Jateng here that provides a special start-up program. We create start-ups that do not have assets yet, they can access capital without collateral, that’s the most important thing.”
He also emphasized that this program can serve as the basis for the government to make it easier for players in the creative industry throughout Indonesia.
“This is already running, we have to nationalize the program,” he concluded. (SENOPATI)
