Team BMW M4 GT3 started in eighth place in the Bronze Cup class. They had to endure six hours of ups and downs to reach the podium. Leung led the team, quickly moving up to fourth place before ending the session in P3. With a good starting position, Sean aimed to secure a podium and even win if possible. The Indonesian racer managed to climb to another position, just behind Conrad Laursen driving the Ferrari for Kessel Racing 74. Consistently, Sean increased his speed, closing the gap from 14 seconds to just 0.5 seconds.

Ultimately, Sean took the lead from the Danish driver before handing over to Harper. The responsibility of the Northern Irish pilot was heavy as he needed to maintain the lead. Harper actually performed well, staying in P1. Unfortunately, several track conditions, including Full Course Yellow (FCY), favored Kessel Racing 74 to snatch the lead back. Similarly to Sean, Harper was able to reduce the gap from double digits to just about two seconds. However, the limited remaining time prevented him from pushing his car to the first position. Paradine Competition 991 team had to settle for P2, while another Kessel Racing team, car number 8, completed the podium for the Bronze Cup class.

“It’s exciting to be on the podium in my first race in the Endurance Cup. Thanks to everyone, the team, Darren, and Dan who have all worked together to achieve this result. Next, I will race for another six hours with Darren next week at WEC Imola. Hopefully, we can achieve another good result,” said Sean, Brand Ambassador Pertamax Turbo. The second round of GTWCE – Endurance Cup was held at the Monza Circuit, Italy, on June 1, 2025.
